ClickBank is and has been a very popular resource for affiliate marketers to earn cash online for a very long time. As time has passed it has become increasingly difficult for beginners and indeed even for some seasoned markers to make a decent full-time income from it. I’m not saying that it can’t or isn’t being done but it certainly isn’t as easy as it once was.

What this highlights is unless you have a decent working knowledge of ClickBank and an above average amount of determination, that trying to earn money with ClickBank could end up costing you a lot of time and you could still end up with disappointing results.
My ClickBank Business Tactics Stage One
The first thing I would recommend is that you thoroughly check out the tutorials on ClickBank itself. They have sections that cover; affiliate help, vendor help and account help. They do a very good job of teaching you how to use their affiliate program effectively.
For some reason most people seem to discount the online ClickBank tutorials and jump right into paying through the nose for a course on how to make money with ClickBank.There have been many courses released by vendors onto the clickbank marketplace and sold successfully that were taken from ClickBanks online tutorials and packaged as “ClickBank Code Cracked.”
Don’t pass over these free tutorials just because they aren’t all shiny and exciting looking.
Once you understand the basics and terminology of the ClickBank system you are ready to start searching for your first product to promote. A really excellent online FREE resource that I use is, “CB Engine.” Just do a search on Google for it. There are all sorts of charts, data comparisons, advanced searches and a number of other time saving tools all in one place.
CB Engine is my first port of call when doing ClickBank product research and evaluation.

One of the most important stages of affiliate or niche marketing is keyword research, I can hear the moans n groans from here. Yes it can be tedious work, although it doesn’t have to be.
If you pick the wrong keywords then more than likely you’re affiliate campaign is doomed to failure. If the keywords are too competitive then it can take months, even years to get your pages ranking at the top of Google’s organic search.
If you choose the wrong long tail keywords then you may not generate enough traffic to your site/page to make regular sales. You could of course go straight to PPC (pay per click) and pay for your traffic using Google AdWords. Personally I don’t really like paying for my traffic, nor do I like having to contend with the many Google Slaps that come with it.
Your probably thinking at this point that there is a lot to learn about ClickBank and a lot of hard work in making it profitable. The honest answer to that is a resounding… YES!
A lot of the grunt work can be avoided and get you up running, and earning without you having to devote every spare minute you have to it. That doesn’t mean there is no work that needs to be done by you, if this was true everyone would have their own successful my ClickBank business.
